Palms, Perimenopause, And Beyond

age gracefully ayurveda dosha seasonal wisdom spring youtube Apr 06, 2025

When I first started practicing Ayurveda in my mid-30s, it seemed like menopause was a long way off, but in retrospect I was most likely about to begin the evolutionary process known as perimenopause (the 10 or so years that lead up to a fully year of not having a menstrual cycle).

Now, on the brink of turning 47 (my birthday is on the 13th, next Sunday- yippie!) I am here to celebrate that I am fully in perimenopause!

I am grateful to so many of my clients whom I have had the honor of working with. I have learned so much alongside them as they apply the wisdom of Ayurveda during this life stage, and model how amazing this transition can truly be.

Through the years, my practice has become more and more focused on women navigating the transitional time of Perimenopause, Menopause and Beyond. By working with these amazing women, I have gathered a lot of wisdom about this life stage shift. This is a popular topic these days... even Oprah is doing a series called The Menopause Revolution, bringing this conversation into the mainstream.

I feel it is imperative to teach specifically about menopause, as more women than ever before struggle with health issues at this point in their lives.

As a fun exploration of personal constitution through the lens of Ayurveda, here is a little video I made for YouTube shorts to give you a quick insight into your predominant dosha simply by looking at the shape of your palm.

May we be nourished as we navigate personal, communal, and planetary evolution. May beings everywhere be safe, happy, and well.
