Crises = Time To Double Down
Oct 14, 2024I get it! You are heartbroken by the tragedies and devastation currently experienced in the Southeastern US. You are a kind, empathetic, and caring person who is willing to do whatever it takes to help out.
The daily news of these climate disasters as well as the pending presidential election, the war in Gaza, foreign climate disasters, etc. make it challenging for you to focus, let alone eat or sleep well. So, you opt to just push forward, not tending to yourself in service of others. You put everything else on the priority list ahead of you and begin to feel resentful, depleted, exhausted, and stuck.
Many of us were told as small children that "putting yourself first is selfish," and so we have spent our lives striving to not be accused of that particular label. This stigma only gets worse in times of crisis when we are seeing heartbreaking footage of people losing their homes, cars, and businesses, resulting in dire circumstances. You want to be able to help in your own way, but perhaps you feel like you simply don’t have the fortitude to do so.
This is not what you imagined it would be like at this point in your life. You imagined yourself having:
- Abundant energy and clarity of thought
- A strong, lean body
- Fabulous sleep
- Time to devote to what is most important to you
Putting yourself at the top of your priority list during challenging times may seem especially ridiculous, but it is actually imperative. In the wake of Hurricane Helene, I am noticing a big difference in how people are reacting, responding, and sustaining. Now Milton has left Florida in a similar state and more and more people are struggling physically, mentally, and emotionally with daily life. The impending election creates further divides of misinformation and short fuses.
The depletion, frazzled nerves, exhaustion, and frustration that comes from navigating these times can only be met with resilience if our self-care game is dialed in. Otherwise, we are no good to anyone, especially ourselves.
We all know the phrase from airplane trips, “Put your own oxygen mask on first, before helping others,” saves lives. The same is true in our daily lives. You must tend to yourself before you can tend to others, otherwise you become the liability.
Additionally, since stress exacerbates health issues, having knowledge of how to best care for your unique body, mind, and spirit is critical in times of crisis. Self care is more important than ever right now, which is why TODAY is the perfect time to join the Vitality Circle.
The Vitality Circle is an opportunity to work with me for women who want to be able to show up more fully in their lives but are struggling with health issues that keep them bogged down.
In the Vitality Circle, you will work 1:1 with me as well as participate in group sessions to heal naturally within an amazingly supportive and evolutionary community. Even though you will see changes in how you feel right away, this year long program allows you to incrementally make changes and have the time to practice them so long that they stick for the longterm.
The Vitality Circle also supports you to get to the root of your beliefs and unconscious behaviors that are holding you back, shifting them to create a more positive and productive future for yourself.
Starting now, you don’t have to make drastic changes (which would create even more stress on you), you can simply lean into the group and let us support you to slowly regain your strength and… vitality!
As an Ayurveda Practitioner, Yoga teacher, Artist, and Master Educator, I use my extensive background in multiple modalities to support my clients in specific and individualized ways. Through gradual shifts in food, movement, thought patterns, and sleep habits you will experience strength, radiance, and vitality as natural outcomes.
Women who commit to the Vitality Circle have experienced results like:
- Losing 10-40 pounds without dieting
- Bringing blood pressure and cholesterol into normal ranges without medications
- Running 4 miles every other day after not even feeling able to go on long walks without exhaustion
- Eliminating digestive distress (pain, bloating, diarrhea, or constipation)
- Sleeping like a baby after years of insomnia
Because of the intimate nature of the program there are currently only 6 spaces remaining in the next cohort of the Vitality Circle.
