Embracing Dreams - Live Your Truth

“Living the life that cries to be lived from the depth of our being frees up a lot of energy and vitality.” Author Deborah Adele

I used to feel like I never quite fit in; like there was something inherently wrong with me. I had an inner story about how the “real” me wasn’t acceptable and I would always be “different.” I could never really get my sh*t together.

It took my life hitting rock bottom (cancer scare, divorce, career uncertainty, drained finances, etc..) for me to get to a place where I gained enough willingness/strength/surrender to be fully ME and go for what I really wanted in life: to be of service in the world, to alleviate unnecessary suffering through multiple modalities.

That’s when I went to school for Ayurveda. I decided to live my life fully, even if it wasn’t what I thought others wanted from me. I wasn’t going to try to pretend to be anyone other than myself. I am quirky, and curious, and skilled at many creative things. I am sensitive, a deep thinker, and both profoundly inspired by, and disappointed in, our world.

I carved a path that is unique to me and over time, it has become authentic and fulfilling. Sometimes it feels incredibly risky and edgy. I continuously learn new things every day.

Ayurveda teaches us to align with the timeless wisdom of the elements. Ayurvidya, our lived experience, teaches us to align more deeply with our own truth. It is not to be belittled by the messages we internalize about what our lives are "supposed to" look like.

Over the past couple years others have been reaching out to me to ask how I have created what I have created in business and life, wanting to do something similar. I am honored to inspired others, AND I think we each have something unique to share with the world and a personal path to get there. Other's can inspire us, but then we need to make their wisdom our own, give it our unique flavor.

This past week on March 8, we celebrated International Women’s Day. In light of that, I want to encourage all of us to stop “should-ing” on ourselves and recognize our innate gifts, the unique ways we show up that add to the richness of the world.

I encourage you to make a list of your own life’s experiences. Not just the successes, but all that has given you the strength, humility and wisdom in your life journey. These are gifts! Turning "lemons into lemonade" is a superpower we all possess, and one many of us could practice more.

When each of us lives fully, it encourages others to do the same! What are you holding yourself back from now? What stuck story could you let go of in service to the greater whole?

If you feel drawn to explore more about yourself through Ayurveda, Yoga, and Creativity, consider joining me for one of my online or in-person retreats.

May you trust your path and all that aligns with it.

With love and light,

Hannah
